Walk a Day in Daughtry’s Shoes
The local CBS affiliate in Denver trailed DNCC CEO Leah Daughtry last week for a behind-the-scenes look at all that goes in to preparations for the 2008 Democratic National Convention. The series of day-in-the-life video clips follow Daughtry from a briefing with staff members about the Write to Lead essay contest to her participation at a community forum in Lakewood, Colo. with Congressman Ed Perlmutter to a sit-down interview with a student reporter from a school newspaper. There are also interviews with Daughtry and Sky Gallegos, Deputy CEO of Intergovernmental Affairs. If you’re looking to experience the Convention up close, this CBS blog post is a good start. Stay tuned to DemConvention.com as we continue to offer you the inside Convention track leading up to the historic four-day event in August.

I hope you're negotiating a fantastic deal for us for hotel rates. I couldn't believe when I saw the notice saying expect to spend $2500 for a four-day convention. That's a lot for us poor Dems!
