The 2008 DNCC Logo

Under a Colorado night sky, Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) CEO Leah D. Daughtry and a core group of Convention organizers gathered in October to unveil the DNCC’s logo at the Pepsi Center – site of the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Organizers counted down to the first public display of the logo, which was projected in lights on the exterior of the Pepsi Center facility. Incorporating red, white and various hues of blue, the design reflects the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountain West that is home to the 2008 Convention.

With Denver playing host, the Convention is an opportunity to highlight the importance of the West to the future of the Democratic Party and to broaden the conversation about what it truly means to be a "big tent" party – beyond regional and ethnic diversity to include an expanding array of people who share the Party’s values.

The majestic mountain skyline and star-filled horizon that are characteristic of Denver and the entire Rocky Mountain region are reflected in the logo to demonstrate that view.

Download the logo for personal use and send it around to your friends, include it on your blog, your social networking page or turn it into your desktop wallpaper or your screensaver. There are so many ways to show how proud you are that the 2008 Democratic National Convention is in Denver.  Use of the logo for any purpose other than personal use, including without limitation commercial or promotional purposes, is not permitted without the express prior written approval of the DNCC.
